Hi,

here is the problem I have:

I have a problem on starting the current version 0.3.0 on my winXP system.

The installation had been completed without errors, but when I tried to
start the program, the following error message occured (translated from
German):

"The application could not start, because libglib-2.0-0.dll was not
found. Re-Installing the application could solve the problem."

The suggestion does not help.

I actually have gtk2 for win installed and other gtk-applications run
smoothly.

So, what could be the problem?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Xenofon

It's a windows caned message, nothing from cssed.

smoothly.
So, what could be the problem?
It seems cssed is not loading properly the required gtk and glib
libraries.

We're ready for a new minor release, so we'll not fix the previous one
as it's ready to be obsoleted.

If you want, I can upload for you a pre-release of cssed-0.3.1 that
fixes lots of issues on windows.

This way you can tell us if the problem is still present, so we could go
for a fix on the new installer, instead of fixing the
ready-to-be-obsoleted one.

If you post here what version of gtk are you using, and you're willing
to take a try to the new installer, I'll build it for you and upload it
to a location where you could download it.

Is it ok for you ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

That's ok with me, I'd like to contribute.
Thanks.
- the install-directory is C:\Programme\Common Files\GTK\2.0\
- the properties of the file bin\libglib-2.0-0.dll include the version
string "2.4.5.0"
I hope that's the information needed. So I'll wait for the pre-release.
It's useful indeed.

Could you please search your registry for the key
HKLM\Software\GTK\2.0\Path ?

Is it present ?

If you're not comfortable with the registry, I can guide you or even
send you a script to search for needed values.

The pre-release package is at
http://iagorubio.com/gtk/cssed-pre-0.3.1-gtk2.4.exe

Please uninstall the previous package to avoid clashes, even while it's
not mandatory.
Oh, and... you are pretty active, guys, wow...
Don't think that .... we're now facing a release.

Usually the list is really low traffic :)

Regards.

yap. Here is the value of the key: "C:\Programme\Common Files\GTK\2.0"
So I don't think this could so wrong... And by the way the version
string found in the same path of the registry is "2.4.7.0" and Revision
is "a".
It's fine.

I just tried that one too, but I get the same message.
I'm sorry.
Sorry, really, I
don't mean spoiling your weekend.
Your whish then, but I'll spoil most of the weekend with cssed one way
or another.

If you'd like to take another try, just post it here.

Regards.
